lyrics

Blue Bees, Black Beach

I ride a white mare
Through a swarm of blue bees
Along a black beach. Black lava,

Black sand. Like wading
Through black jade.

Lacking any guidance of the gone gods,
The mare has built a beach for two
And bodied in her passion
But this single old man.

She glorifies our sterile drunkenness!
Her door is open to mis--mask you.
I have to look but needn’t stare
Through my goggles and balaclava.

When we are very strong
A single dark word, like a wild horse,
Scampers off.

Behold: it ends with angels
